Professional Bio: Blake Richards graduated with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering with minors in biomedical engineering and microbiology from Iowa State University, where he did research under Professor Ian Schneider to develop a force sensitive drug delivery system. He is co-advised by Professor Millicent Sullivan and Professor Wilfred Chen. His graduate research explores the selective activation of pro-MMP’s to penetrate and deliver drugs into the tumor microenvironment.
Fun Bio: Blake enjoys all things outdoors, active, or related to animals. In his free time he likes to cook, read and take his dog named Bug on walks.
