Professional Bio: Antonio Goncalves graduated with a M.S. degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University in 2019, where he did research under Professor Shishir Chundawat to engineer carbohydrate-active enzymes for improved sugar synthesis and to synthesize multimodal glycoligands for protein chromatography. He is now co-advised by Professor Millicent Sullivan and Professor Wilfred Chen. His graduate work focuses on the development of worm-like protein nanostructures with organized presentation of cell-binding and complement-evading peptides.
Fun Bio: In his free time, Antonio enjoys reading novels, playing soccer, going to concerts and supporting the West Ham United soccer club.
